This website provides photos of the tombstones at the Jones Ridge Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky.
The cemetery is located on the north side of Jones Ridge Road approximately 1 mile off Highway 61. The turn from
Highway 61 onto Jones Ridge Road is about 5 miles north of Burkesville, Kentucky, near where Strange Branch
flows into Big Renox Creek.
All photos were taken on July 25, 2005. The photos are arranged by surname and can be accessed by clicking on the
links in the left hand column.
The photo to the right is an overview of the cemetery looking toward the northeast. The cemetery contains 24 distinct
tombstones, all of which are pictured on the following pages. Two of those stones are unreadable. There are
a large number of depressions at the cemetery indicating additional likely burials. Bricks have been pressed into the
ground to mark 34 of the depressions.
